This section of the site is for those interested in serving as short-term missionary staff at Hickory Cove, whether for the summer or for any of our year-round camps and retreats. Serving on staff at Hickory Cove is much more than a great camp ministry experience. Our goal for all of our staff is that they come to a deeper understanding of what it means to be a disciple-maker. The camp staff experience is an opportunity for committed Christ-followers to be trained, discipled, and then “go make disciples” (Matt. 28:19). If you are ready to seriously accept the challenge that our Lord gave us just prior to His ascension to “go make disciples,” then Hickory Cove is just the place to help you reach for the next level.

The process for applying for a position at Camp is as follows:

• Pray, Pray, Pray- We desire to fill all of our staff positions with those who have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to impact lives for His Kingdom whether serving in a support role or a counselor.
• Read through the Short-Term Staff Overview to familiarize yourself with how our staff positions are organized and structured. Please don’t skip this step.
• Fill out a Short-Term Staff Application. Or if you’re a returning staff member, then download this application.
• Give two Reference Forms to individuals that meet the qualifications as explained on the form.
• Complete the Background Check Release Form, Background Check Questionnaire & Disclosure, and Confidential Medical Form.
• Mail the completed application and background forms to us.
• Follow up to make sure your references send your forms to us ASAP. We cannot process your application until we receive your references.
• We will be in touch with you for an interview as soon as we have received all of your preliminary paper work.
